Side The city is located 75 kilometers from Antalya and it takes approximately one hour to get here from the airport. Side is on a cape surrounded by long beaches with fine-grained sand. The place is filled with history and is among other things famous for its old ring-wall and the well-preserved Roman theatre. The city has a steady population of 6,500 citizens but in the high season this amount doubles. Side is a paradise for families with children since this is a small town with a calm pace that still has so much to offer in entertainment and so many sights of interest to visit. |
| The best sand beaches Side has some of the best beaches on the Turkish Riviera and the beaches have incredibly fine-grained sand. Here are two nice beaches to choose between, the one to the east is a little bit calmer with fewer people, but the sand is more hard-grained and the waves can be big here. The west beach is shallow and the sand is fine-grained, which is the reason why families mostly go to the west beach. It takes about an hour from Antalya’s airport to get to Side.
