  A modern tourist resort
Kemer is a modern tourist resort but at the same time a small-town idyll with a calm atmosphere and a tranquil pace. If you are out to get a relaxing holiday then Kemer is your obvious choice. But there are of course also bars and nightclubs to choose from in this city.

The city is located at the foot of the pine tree covered Taurus Mountains and is a calm and very pleasant seaside resort. It is situated about one hour from Antalya and is famous for its peacefulness.

 
The city holds two, so called main beaches, on each side of the harbour, the smaller one is called “Moonlight Beach” and has a fine-grained beach on the west side of Kemer. The other beach is somewhat bigger and is called “Public Beach” or “City Beach” translated to English, this beach consists of both sandy sections and rubble.

  Do not miss out on the markets in Kemer
You should not really miss out on the markets that are open every Monday in Kugulu Park and you should also visit the fantastic ruins from the ancient city of Phaselis. If you do not think that this meets your expectations where ruins are concerned then there are always the ruins on the island of Kekova where the remnants actually resemble Atlantis as they are below the water surface.

Kemer has about 17,000 inhabitants which double during high season. It takes about one hour to get there from Antalya’s airport.
