A small resort town
Kas is a small resort town with only 8,000 inhabitants and is relatively undiscovered by the large tourist masses. The name Kas is pronounced, “Casch” and it is located along Turkey’s coast towards the Mediterranean Sea. Kas is halfway between the airports of Dalaman and Antalya in the south. The town looks like a sleepy and idyllic small fishing village and also resembles a Greek town, and the fact is that Kas once had a Greek minority. The town has not actually changed that much through the years and this is how the coastlines Mediterranean looked like before it was affected by

  tourism.

Here the sea is greenish blue and clear and red mountains rise above the beautiful area. The town has high-class restaurants and small cute boutiques. The pace is calming and pleasant and the town’s historical mementos characterise the whole district. In the middle of town gloriously stands an old sarcophagus and just outside Kas are many interesting historical sites, and not to be forgotten; a well-preserved amphitheatre.
