The Turquoise Coast
Fethiye is one of the most picturesque resorts on the famous “Turquoise Coast,” near the Greek islands. Fethiye is located in a protected bay with the majestic Taurus Mountains in the background; the city is famous for its beautiful marina, which is one of the largest in Turkey. Fethiye is situated between Antalya and Marmaris and is considered one of Turkey’s most beautiful beach resorts. Just outside the city are incredibly beautiful beaches and you can get there by minibus (dolmus). This is a quiet resort that is ideal for families.

To walk around Fethiye is a must, as there are restaurants, cafés, bars, and, good shopping here if you want a bargain in

furnishings, fabrics, and leather. There is also a so-called gold center where you can buy bargains of gold, silverm and precious stones at great prices. Of course there are also markets here where most things can be bought after the obligatory haggling. Furthermore, there are ancient ruins outside Fethiye including the abandoned ghost town of Kaya Koyu. Another tip is to go on a boat trip from the archipelago; it is both beautiful and relaxing. Or why not try the Turkish traditions such as Turkish night with belly dancers and a three-course dinner or the Turkish hamam with a steam bath, a scrub, and a massage. In the evenings there are many restaurants to enjoy and many bars to get a drink at or nightclubs to party in.

Fethiye is simply the perfect resort for those who want a little of everything.
